I am astonished at how far the New Yorker has fallen from its perch at the summit of American letters. Getting a no-name Gen Z hack to fluff up a mediocrity like Cash is pathetic. You, the editors, should ashamed of yourselves

"vivid, breezy prose alight with casual wit"

This is what passes for literary criticism these days? Don't worry, I can translate this for the audience in the back: the prose is simple sentences for simple minds
